Tras el nombre de Het Combo Koedijk se esconden Mark Ten Hoor (The No-Goods) y Alfred Nooij, con la colaboración de Peter Kroes (The Miracle Men, The Keefmen) y Arjan Spies (Mark & The Spies, The Kik), casi nada! Somewhere in the north of Holland, in the province of Drenthe lies a small haunted town by the name of Meppel. And in this doomed little town live two young men by the names of Mark the Beatle and Alfredo Nooijo, otherwise known as:

HET COMBO KOEDIJK

They spent their days drinking milk from the local cows, drinking beer at the local pub and singing songs in their local dialect about the local news, looking at girls, driving in Alfreds car, smoking cigarettes, eating junk food, listening to records and last but not least: the local transvestite. Their sound is a unique combination of (Neder)beat, garage, punk, folk, German schlager music and a wholelotta typical Dutch pirate music.

Mark & Alfred are assisted by Peter Kroes (The Keefmen, No-Goods) on bass guitar and backing vocals and Arjan Spies (Mark & the Spies, The Kik) on drums and keyboards. And to top things of they changed their name to LOS Combo Koedijk especially for this Spanish release on Action Weekend Records and Bickerton Records! WHOOOWEEEE!!!!

Casi nada ocurre por casualidad y así el destino, tras la disipación de Lions in The Purple Shade, hizo que Iñigo Bregel (Crayolaser) y Borja Juanco bautizaran su nuevo proyecto como Los Estanques. Con premura se pusieron manos a la obra, reorganizando la banda (con Germán Herrero, Andrea Conti y Fernando Bolado) y componiendo temas que orientaban su imaginario más hacia una vertiente pop psicodélica que hacia los sonidos negros que los primeros profesaban. Lejos de sonar a lo que se ha venido a denominar en los últimos años como neo-psicodelia.

Los Estanques, poseen una personalidad apabullante. Sin inventar la rueda, pueden presumir de saber hacerla rodar como pocos combos lo hacen hoy en día. Beben (y fuman) de las bandas de los primerísimos 70, aquellas que comenzaban a tontear con los desarrollos progresivos pero aún no habían caido en el tedio del virtuosismo. Sería poner puertas al campo definir con precisión el estilo de los santanderinos. Ardua tarea. Imaginarse a unos Alacrán de Fernando Arbex o a unos Máquina pero menos ''souleros'', más complejos e irónicos y cantando en castellano, solo serviría de ejercicio orientativo y probablemente pecaría de subjetivo. Lo que nada tiene de subjetivo es la certeza de que el siete pulgadas que tenéis delante de vuestros ojos, y que contiene ''Cuantos Valles'' y ''Sentado al Son'', dentro de poco estará agotado y será pieza codiciada por los paladares más exqusitos. Long-awaited first long play by our fave psyche-heads. After two startling 45s that we had the honour to publish, here we have their "Serendipic Breakfast", a record we've been hearing about for more than 3 years (first demos even dated years before) and that we honestly thought may never see the light of day. Finally here it is and it was worth the wait. The Dealers present an overwhelming collection of self-penned killers with a classic scent, sublime pop, psychedelic landscapes from around the world (West Coast, Holland, Britain), nederbiet flavours, garage shots, freakbeat rhythms... In 2015 they triumphed in every festival they played, it's time for them to prove all their virtues with a recording with no equal in the present-day sixties scene.

Tras dos deslumbrantes singles que hemos tenido el honor de editar, nos llega su "Serendipic Breakfast", un disco del que llevamos oyendo hablar más de 3 años (de varios más datan la primeras maquetas) y que parecía nunca llegaría. Aquí está y la espera ha valido la pena. The Dealers entregan una abrumadora colección de enormes composiciones propias de indudable regusto clásico, de soberbio pop, paisajes psicodélicos, arrebatos garajeros y ritmos freakbeat para la pista de baile. En el 2015 arrasaron por todos los festivales por los que pasaron, llega el momento de la confirmación con un lp que dificilmente tiene parangón en la escena sixties
europea.
